I would recommend Airborne to everyone that likes to read because it is a good action and adventure. And this book has a lot of adventure. The best part of this book is when there trapped on the island and they start lying to the pirates to try to escape and then the pirates catch them in the act. I thought this book was ok and I wouldn't read it again but I would recommend it to most people.

" Matt Cruse has the life he has always dreamed of a cabin boy on the Aurora, a luxury passenger airship that sails hundreds of feet above the ocean. Then one night he meets the a dying balloonist who speaks of beautiful creature drifting through the skies who are completely real and utterly mysterious." Just by reading the back cover of the book makes me want to read what the dying balloonist has to say about the creatures no one has even seen

The book I chose for my summer reading project is Airborn by Kenneth Oppel. The main character in my book is a teenage boy named Matt Cruse who works on an Airship who's name has not been mentioned. The main setting of the book takes place on the airship over the pacifucus ocean or on the island that they crash landed on. So the main conflict I am at right now is that the airship just crashed on an island and the reason they crashed is because they were taken over by pirates. When the pirates were leaving the ship they messed with the ships fuel and caused them to lose so much they had to land.

Sunrise Over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myers. First off this is my favorite book because it just has so much detail about all the little things in this book. I'm not very far right now but I have read it before but I'm reading it again because I just love it so much.

So the main character Robin"birdy" Perry. This girl named Marla in his squad keeps calling him Birdy because of his first name is Robin. Robin doesn't like being called that and he tells her to stop but she doesn't listen. Robin is scared to go into combat but at the same time he wants to go in to Iraq and help out the locals.

Walter Dean Myers writes this with such a way that you never want to put it down! He uses some syntax patterns like anaphora "And now, when I was hearing about the Sunnis being killed ,or the bombs going off in the marketplace, the only thing I could think of was I was so glad is wasnt me lying in the streets of Baghdad, or Fallujah or Mosul. I was glad it was not my blood being cleaned off the streets or getting swept up on the roads out side of the city."(213) This is anaphora because Myers keeps repeating the word I in the paragraph.

Divergent

So right now I am about half way through Divergent. I think it is a really good book and it kind of reminds me of a Hunger Games society.  The vocabulary is pretty much just like a normal conversation so the diction is low. I haven't read a part that has elevated diction. "I think about stepping closer to him not for any practical reason, but just because I want to see what it would be like to stand that close to him; just because I want to"(239) This shows that it is just like a normal conversation but with syntax is it is a long sentence with  30+ words.

Beatrice who renamed herself Tris after she joined a new faction Dauntless. She renamed herself after she was the first jumper from the top of the building which would lead to death if there was no net but they didn't know there was a net.      

During training the group of transfers take a feild trip to the gate. Where Tris sees someone from her old faction and he transferd out too. Some of the meaner people in the group start to pick on Tris for talking to him. While they are obut to leave Four the man incharge on the group pulls Tris aside and tells her to attack first in the fight after she just lost to Peter.  

So I picked up Divergent by Veronica Roth. So far it is about Beatrice. In the world they live in right now there is no war they live only with 5 factions which are; Abnegation who are selfless, Amity who are peaceful, Candor who are honest, Dauntless who are brave, and last Erudite who are intelligent. During the test that the take when they're 16 Beatrice finds out her test resaluts are inconclusive. this means she doesn't belong to a faction. They call these people Divergent. The person that gave her the test is named Tori and she tells Beatrice not to tell anyone ever about the test. Soon she has to chose a new faction what will she choose? Stay in the same one or not.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Ponyboy and Johnny just killed someone from a rival gang and they go to Dally for help. Dally tells them to get on a train and ride it to an abandoned church, and while at the chruch they are there for about a week and during that week they buy a copie on Gone With The Wind. Ponyboy starts to read the book to Johnny because he cant read. Johnny thought the book was amazing and didnt want to stop reading it. A few days later Dally comes for them and takes them to get real food insted of lunch meant.

I decided to stop reading the Outsiders, and started reading The Son of Neptune. The main charachters name is Percy Jackson. Percy isn't like your normal 17 year old. He is the son of a Greek god namked Posidan. He has lost him memory and cant remember anything except for one girl named Annabeth. Percy's dad is Greek but some how he ends up at the Romans camp. When he first arrives there he is forced to carry a goddes named Juno.

Percy is very confused about what is going on he thinks everything is very simalar to his old like but he just can't remember anything about his life. Percy is getting shown around the camp by a girl named Hazel. There are ghosts that just kind of float around. They are calling Percy  "graecus" which is the Latin term for Greek. Percy is being shown around camp by a girl named Hazel. This is all I know about the book so far.

I just started the book The Outsiders by S.E Hinton. this book is about a 14 yearold boy named ponyboy. Ponyboy has two brothers named Sodapop and Darry. They are part off the social class called the greasers. The greasers are always fighting with the socs, the other poeple from the outerside of town. The socs were the people that had more money and better and nicer things than the greasers.
Right as the book begins ponyboy is at the movies alone than he walks home. When he walks home he notices a car that is following him. He starts to walk fasteer and faster and looks for a stick to defend himself. The socs came up to him and said" Need a haircut, greaser?"(Hinton 5) Right as they start to hold him down he yelles for his brothers than bits ine of the socs and draws blood. Soon his brother comes and gets him before they can do any damange.

I just finished my book I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior. I though that it was a very good book. At the end on the book Howard Wasdin the main person in the book. He went over to Somalia in 1992. He was in the Navy SEALs as a sniper. When he was there he was in a hideout looking for the local militia but, while he was there he keep smelling something funny so him and his team did a raid on a house and found a kid that had steeped on a land mine at school and had his leg blown off. So Howard and his team went  over there to help the kid by giving him medicine so the infection would go away. He later said in the book that his greatest success in Somalia was helping the kid rather than the mission on why they were there.
The U.S military was there to catch a Somalian war lord and help stop the civil war. All of the Marines, Delta , Rangers and the few SEALs were out on the raid to catch the war lord. During to raid two of the Amreicans helicopters were shot down and then sent out a large rescue party to get them. During this time Howard was shot 3 times and the leg and has to undergo a few sergies so he could keep his leg. He now works as a ciroprater.
